About the Founder & Owner
Jamie Culbertson
Jamie Culbertson founded SunComfort Solutions with a clear mission: to leverage his knowledge and network of industry experts to create a company that prioritizes education over high-pressure sales tactics. His goal is to provide homeowners with well-designed, efficient, and properly sized systems—without the inflated prices and inefficiencies common in the industry.
With 15 years of experience implementing BPI standards in building science, heating and cooling design, and system sizing, Jamie has built a deep understanding of residential energy efficiency. His expertise spans a vast portfolio of solar technologies, financial engineering, and technical system integration. SunComfort Solutions embodies a true one-stop approach, ensuring homes are sealed and insulated for efficiency, engineered for comfort with properly designed HVAC systems, and optimized with solar and battery backup for long-term savings and energy independence.

Jamie and his team provide in-depth knowledge of products, rebates, tax credits, and financing options—helping homeowners make financially sound decisions that maximize comfort and savings. Dominic Gallo
Dominic Gallo is an experienced Home Energy Auditor with a strong background in residential energy performance, HVAC systems, and mechanical troubleshooting. With over a decade of field expertise, he has built a career on helping homeowners improve comfort, safety, and energy efficiency while ensuring compliance with industry standards and rebate programs.
From 2021 to 2024, Dominic served as a Home Performance Specialist and Energy Auditor with Green Team LI, where he conducted comprehensive energy assessments, including blower door testing, infrared thermography, and combustion safety testing. He specialized in identifying opportunities for energy savings, recommending tailored improvements such as insulation upgrades, air sealing, and HVAC enhancements. His ability to clearly explain rebate options and technical solutions helped clients make informed decisions about energy-efficient upgrades, driving both customer satisfaction and project success.
Prior to his auditing career, Dominic worked as an HVAC Technician at SUNY Farmingdale College, maintaining and repairing HVAC and mechanical systems, gaining hands-on expertise in building automation systems, preventive maintenance, and system diagnostics. He also served as a Field Technician and Equipment Manager with G.N.S. LLC, where he was responsible for installing communication and security systems, managing equipment logistics, and supporting project execution from sales through closeout. Earlier in his career, he gained valuable residential HVAC experience as a Field Technician with Wantagh Heating and Cooling, installing and maintaining a variety of home mechanical systems.
With a proven track record across energy auditing, HVAC, and system performance, Dominic brings both technical precision and customer-focused service to every project.
